EDUCATION PROGRAMS
In addition to the annual Jazz Fest, AFCDJS offers educational opportunities for youth and adults through our monthly workshops, annual trad jazz camp, and youth scholarships. Education programs supported by the Society in general, and by member donations, are specifically aimed at youth music programs to help to preserve and perpetuate traditional jazz for future generations.
The AFCDJS supports youth education into the preservation and performance of traditional jazz, ragtime and swing music. Donations to this fund go to providing financial support to local school music programs, scholarships for promising young artists, and private lessons for students.
Additionally, our Small Band Music Archives contains an extensive archive of trad music which is available to school, youth groups and other comunity, church or professional music organization at a very resonable fee.
